The
performance of this said to be lens is fine, it's one of the cheaper
Zeiss lenses which can be found for decent prices although it's a
6-lens construction. Wide open it shows a bit of vignetting and
softness. Stopped down it's
sharper, at F 2 it remains softer
towards the edges. The lens has moderate
close focussing capablities. It is relatively big and
not lightweight.
My
lens doesn't focus to infinity. The reason might be the adapters. I did
not find my C/Y adapter, so I used a C/Y to Canon adaper and then a
Canon to NEX adapter. This might have offset the lens by a mm. If I
find my C/Y adapter, I'll do the test again.
