Closest focus is 55cm from
outermost
edge of the lens, F 8; it's not really close. Focus on
the program wheel of the camera.
This lens is very small
and very lightweight. Wide open, there are
shades on the upper edges (as with all very wide lenses) and it has
some
softness towards the edges. Carefully aligned there is no distortion.
It's a wonderful walk-around lens if you prefer wide angles. At F 8
focussing is very easy because of the wide depth-of-the-field range. It
produces nice very wide
images with a nostalgic
image impression. I like it quite well.
