Closest focus is 0.80m from outermost edge of the lens. Focus on the program wheel of the camera.

This old lens was sold for Braun Paxette cameras as a later standard lens. This is the second version of the Staeble Kata, slightly bigger and heavier; obviously a completely different lens  design, as it has no protruding back lens. Wide open it's a bit soft. Stopped down it's fine. At F16 you can see what it is capable of. It's astonishing, how short and light it is, even if you add the adapters. A nice very small lens.

The M39 Paxette Mount is the same thread as ordinary M39 (Leica), but  a different flange focal distance.
