Closest focus
is only 11cm from outermost edge of the lens, F 8. Focus on the program wheel of the camera.

This is a converted lens. It has M42 and M39 mount via a special adapter. Focus is spot-on for both. The seller said that it had Nikon mount before the conversion which matches with the design of the lens. The front cap is vital for this lens as the front element is protruding and prone to damage.

A nice lens, even wide open. At F 3.8 there is just a hint of shaded edges. There is some colour cast and it's softer than the Tokina 17mm. It has astonishing capabilities of close focussing for such a wide lens.
Carefully aligned there is virtually no distortion.
