Closest focus
is only 18cm from outermost edge of the lens, F 8. Focus on the program wheel of the camera.

A very nice lens, even wide open. At F 2.8 it's wonderful for wide open. Stopped down it's very, very good in my opinion. It has good capabilities of close focussing. As nearly all Olympus lenses it's smaller and lighter than the average. My lens has some light scratches on the front glass and a tiny accident on the back lens, that's why I payed next to nothing, nevertheless it's still good. I see no diffraction at F 16.
